E-Library is designed to acknowledge the new generations who will naturally learn from outside the classroom. The unprecedented interior can accommodate the users’ behaviors not limited to reading, writing and researching but also including meeting, discussing, gaming, relaxing, etc. The appearance of the E-Library is dictated by the campus design guidelines: the roof has to be a steep pitched roof covered with green tiles. The architecture also features substantial shading devices intrinsic to tropical climate. Large plaza is provided in front of the building shaded in the afternoon by the building itself. All openings and plaza are located to provide visible connection between indoor users and passersby.
