University of Phayao Medical Center and hospital is located in the hillside area in University of Phayao. The center, designed with the concept of "Hospital in the Woods", comprise of small buildings up to 4-6 floors inserted into the newly planted forest. The buildings, especially wards, was surrounded by the large natural trees providing not only the pleasant atmosphere but strengthens and supports psychosocial healing as well.
